Sexual Assault

Staying at home with the uncertainty and tension caused by COVID-19 pandemic puts individuals in danger for sexual assault and violence. Programs across Rhode Island have changed in response to COVID-19, but services are still available to all survivors of sexual assault.

If you are in immediate danger, please call or text 911 (include your address in the text).

If you are a victim of a sexual assault, please call 911 or your local police department. You will be encouraged to make report and go to the hospital emergency departments for examination, treatment and evidence collection. The Rhode Island State Police work closely with Day One to reduce sexual abuse and support survivors. If you or someone you know need services or have questions, you can contact Day One at (401) 421-4100 or by visiting www.dayoneri.org.
