Kids, Cops & Classrooms
Kids, Cops & Classrooms 2025
The Rhode Island State Police and the Rhode Island State Police Museum Foundation are kicking off Kids, Cops, and Classrooms once again this year. This initiative aims to help alleviate the financial burden on families by collecting backpacks and essential school supplies for children throughout the state. The list of needed supplies can be found below.
"Serving our citizens is at the core of our mission," said Colonel Darnell Weaver, Superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police and Director of the Department of Public Safety. "Kids, Cops, and Classrooms is about even more than ensuring Rhode Island children have the school supplies they need. It’s also about showing these young people that their success matters to us. By working together with law enforcement agencies across the state, we’re able to support students, families, and educators in a meaningful way and help build stronger, more connected communities."
Donations can be brought to any Ocean State Job Lot store, any Cardi’s Furniture location or any Rhode Island State Police barracks now through August 21, 2025.
