Rhode Island State Police Museum

The Rhode Island State Police Museum in North Scitaute, Rhode Island opened with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on May 18, 2006. The Rhode Island State Police Museum is dedicated to preserving the history of and educating the public about the historic, cultural, technological and social transitions of the Rhode Island State Police. This is done through the collection and preservation of artifacts, documents and photographs for future generations and research purposes.

Through its interpretive exhibits and educational programs, the goal of the Museum is to illustrate how policing in Rhode Island has evolved over time to meet the changing needs of the State.
